Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic and VerdeCares operation
VerdeCares recognizes that these are very stressful times and we would like to assure you that we are open with normal business hours and here for you if you should need us!
For everyone’s safety, if you have a fever, cough or shortness of breath you should contact your healthcare professional. If you have had contact with a known COVID-19 patient or have recently returned from an affected geographic area you should remain at home in self-quarantine. We have established the following procedures to safely provide support services in our Verde communities:
Phone Visits vs Office Visits: We kindly request that Office Visits be replaced by Phone Visits through the end of April. We are calling our neighbors to ensure they have what they need and checking on them regularly.
We will miss your in-person visits but for your safety and the safety of our employees and volunteers, we ask that you call us instead of stopping by. If you need to visit our office, please know that when you enter you will be required to thoroughly wash your hands, then we will take your temperature, and measure your blood oxygen level. A record of these measurements will be kept.
Meal Delivery: Meal delivery will continue as scheduled and additional meals will be delivered as needed. Our food resources available for delivery include homemade soup meals, volunteer prepared meals, and meals from our community club restaurants.
Medical Equipment: Medical equipment will be delivered and/or picked up. For those in need of medical equipment and/or ready to return equipment, we ask that you call our office and then we will schedule volunteer delivery and/or pick up of the equipment.
Errands: Errands for prescriptions, groceries, other health product needs will continue.
Care Management Visits Postponed: Care Management, Hospital, Rehab Facility and Nurse Visits are postponed. These visits will be replaced by phone visits.
Alzheimer’s and Other Sharing Group meetings: Are replaced by phone meetings.
Transportation: Canceled through March 31. We do expect to resume transportation services in the month of April.
VerdeCares is operating during our normal hours Monday through Friday, 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. For more information about the services available to you, please contact your VerdeCares Office at 480-471-8944. We are available to you 24/7 by calling Vicki at 480-540-1312.
